Jenn Kalisvaart, MD, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician. She provides expert care to patients at Centennial Pediatrics of Spokane in Spokane, Washington.
Dr. Jenn is originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, where she was born and raised. She eventually headed to Texas as a part of the Rice/Baylor Medical Scholars Program. She graduated from Rice University in Houston, Texas, with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Linguistics.
Following graduation, she attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where she obtained her medical degree. She headed to The University of California, Los Angeles, for her pediatrics residency and then completed an additional chief residency year.
After residency and working for a year in a private practice in Southern California, she moved to Atlanta where her husband completed his fellowship in pediatric urology. After two years working in the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Immediate Care Centers, she and her family decided to settle their roots in Spokane, Washington, and they haven’t looked back since. Dr. Jenn, her husband (also a pediatric specialist in Spokane), and their three girls call Spokane their forever home.
Dr. Jenn is a full-time mom of a high schooler, 7th grader, and 4th grader. When not working, she devotes time to the activities her family enjoys such as coaching girls lacrosse, being the Spokane Youth Lacrosse Girls Director and helping at her kids' schools. If you ask her husband and girls, she would also list organizing and using her laminator as top activities she enjoys. She is part of the New Horizons Orchestra woodwind section and has loved getting back into playing music.
Now that her family has 3 loveable bunnies (Daisy, Flopsy and Thumper), she has also become a bunny stylist and expert in all things related to bunny health and safety. Also, in December 2024, the family welcomed Eddie, a rescute puppy, into their hearts and home. Dr. Jenn loves the puppy snuggles for sure!
Dr. Jenn previously served for many years on the executive board at the HOPE (Hearing Oral Program of Excellence) School in Spokane, which aims to give children with hearing loss or deafness the skills to speak and hear.
Dr. Jenn’s girls have always provided her with lots of love and laughs, but they have also taught her that being a parent can be challenging, and sometimes we need a team to best parent our children.
